We’re Spreading Sunshine

We’re a nonprofit dedicated to touching the lives of families impacted by childhood illness and special needs – from our hometown in Memphis to communities nationwide.

When a child faces serious illness or special needs, it doesn’t just impact them –

it impacts the whole family.

Did you know that thousands of Mid-South families are caring for children with life-limiting illnesses? Between treatments, constant health challenges, and financial burdens, finding a spare moment can seem impossible. Plus, the absence of familiar community support only adds to the weight of their situation.

NO parent should have to face childhood illness alone!

At Spreading Sunshine, we are dedicated to coming alongside these families, providing them with the love, support, and community they so desperately need.

Three ways you can touch a family’s life and make a difference:

Help Send a Box

These special boxes offer more than just goodies – they provide a brief escape from a family’s situation, offering comfort and a bright moment amidst the many challenges they face. Each one is carefully curated and age-appropriate, ensuring that every child feels special and loved.

Year of Sunshine

Sponsor a Family

Our Year of Sunshine program is designed to provide monthly support through gifts and meaningful connections. For a year, our families receive personalized care from a Spreading Sunshine Care Coordinator, monthly mailings, and emotional and spiritual support.
