Families impacted by pediatric illness face unthinkable diagnoses for their children, heartbreaking news, and painful treatments and surgeries. This Valentine’s Day we want to be there to provide hope and encouragement to children and families.
Each year Spreading Sunshine sends Valentine’s packages to our Sunshine families across the country and to families at local hospitals in Memphis. This project is made possible because of the outpouring of love from volunteers and donors.
You’re invited to join us in spreading love to our Sunshine Families. Whether you’re crafty or not, here are three ways you can help.
1. Make Valentine’s Cards
Get out your scissors, markers, and glue! We need your help in making Valentine’s cards for families facing childhood illnesses. Anyone can help! We welcome artists and crafters of any age and skill level. You just have to have the heart to spread love to families.
2. Give the Gift of Coffee
If arts and crafts aren’t you’re thing, you can still spread love by donating a Starbucks gift card that will be included in Valentine’s care packages. Many hospitals have a Starbucks, and a cup of coffee is always welcome after a long day at the hospital or doctor’s office. We are collecting $5, $10, and $20 Starbucks gift cards to give to families.
Mail or drop off cards at the Spreading Sunshine office by February 7, 2022.

3. Donate for Shipping
Don’t forget postage! Your donation for postage helps defray the cost of sending out Valentine’s care packages. It’s a great way to help if crafting isn’t your thing.
